The ARG Close Protection course has only 8 places per course. Before a candidate can apply to attend the ARG CP Course you will have to conduct an informal interview (this can be done in person or over the phone). The interview is to ensure that each of the 8 places are filled with like minded candidates that can go on and work in the industry.
The ARG CP Course is 18 consecutive days that include Level 3 Close Protection. (This is SIA approved) We train our operatives in 4 areas of Close Protection: Diplomatic, Executive, Corporate and Celebrity. Each area is unique in many ways, so we differentiate between these areas by looking into subjects such as Kidnap and Ransom policies for executive protection, BIA (Business Impact Analysis) plus much more at consultancy level.
The course is intensive and very progressive with 9 live operations (Exercises) including surveillance covering many areas with various profiles and threats that candidates have to consider in their detailed planning. These exercises are held in various venues such as Theatres, 5 Star Hotels, Museums, Restaurants etc. This course has been developed as a result of over 30 years in the industry and 16 years of teaching Close Protection to provide high-end operatives globally.
The course also includes subjects such as Networking and CV Writing, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Tailoring and Subject Matter Experts teaching various elements of the course.

Candidates must hold at least a valid 3 day First Aid at Work Qualification, prior to starting this course. (each CP Course has a 3 day First Aid course that concludes the day before the full CP course starts)
FOR THOSE WISHING TO COMPLETE AN INTENSIVE FIREARMS COURSE USING LIVE FIREARMS WITHIN THE UK, COURSES ARE HELD AT OUR NORTHERN TRAINING FACILITY THE DAY AFTER EACH CLOSE PROTECTION COURSE FINISHES. ALL FIREARMS TRAINING IS PROVIDED BY WAY OF THE UK’S LEADING SME IN CQB TRAINING AND IS IN KEEPING WITH UK LEGISLATION. SYSTEMS USED ARE M4 (LONG, 22) AND GLOCK 17 GEN 4 (SHORT, AIR).
Close Protection Top Up Course.
This Course provides the required Top Up training for those working as a Close Protection Operator in the Private Security Industry, who already hold an SIA Close Protection Licence but need to renew it. This qualification is a mandatory requirement for re-licensing with the SIA.

Prerequisite; must have completed BOTH the online ACT training and have a minimal valid 3 day First Aid at work qualification.
